Healing through connection to ourselves, each other, and the Earth.
Vilomah, a Sanskrit word meaning "against natural order," refers to the profound loss experienced by a parent who has lost a child or by anyone who has endured an untimely, tragic, or stigmatized death that defies life’s natural sequence. The ongoing mental health and substance use crises have led to a devastating rise in such losses, creating a growing community of individuals who feel a deep, primal sense of injustice and are driven to act. We see this as an opportunity to unite and channel our enduring love to transform society into one that is more connected, compassionate, and just.
About us
We are dedicated to fostering healing, connection, and empowerment for families impacted by substance use and loss. Through peer support, grief education, and advocacy, we work to address the root causes of problematic substance use, challenge stigma, and advance evidence-based, equity-centered drug policy reform. We honor the lives of those lost by supporting bereaved families, uplifting children affected by loss, and creating memorial gardens as sacred spaces for remembrance and reflection. Our mission is to restore integrity, compassion, and autonomy to public health systems, ensuring that no family faces this journey alone and that every individual’s right to heal is respected and protected.
